Ministry

"Don't go among the Gentiles,
and don't enter into any city of the Samaritans.
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, preach, saying,
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!'
Heal the sick,
cleanse the lepers,
and cast out demons.
Freely you received,
so freely give.
Don't take any gold, nor silver,
nor brass in your money belts.
Take no bag for your journey,
neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff:
for the laborer is worthy of his food.
Into whatever city or village you enter,
find out who in it is worthy;
and stay there until you go on.
As you enter into the household,
greet it.
If the household is worthy,
let your peace come on it,
but if it isn't worthy,
let your peace return to you.
Whoever doesn't receive you,
nor hear your words,
as you go out of that house or that city,
shake off the dust from your feet.
Most certainly
I tell you,
it will be more tolerable
for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah
in the day of judgment
than for that city." MATT. 9:37-38

Live generously! God has been generous with you. Travel lightly. Let go of the baggage of worry, doubt, confusion or anything else that holds you back. Jesus came down from heaven to reach you. In the same way, bend to say a kind word to the little, lost and lowly. Jesus has called us to reach those most in need of him, often taking us to places we'd rather not go. Be willing to go where God leads and embrace those who really need his love.

Praise you, precious Father for your kingdom within me! I will live it out courteously, courageously, gently and quietly. I will speak what you give me to say and trust you for the results. Give me the grace to love the loveless and to accept being comfortable in uncomfortable surroundings in order to help someone who needs you. I will trust you.

"Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh's law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper. The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away." ~ "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's farming, God's building."
